SWOG is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing a worldwide effort to help orphaned, single-parent, and other vulnerable children gain access to the resources they need to thrive in a world where the cycle of poverty and lack of basic needs cripple their future and undermine their dreams.

Since 2018, with offices located in Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo, we work to transform children’s lives through safe and supportive housing, healthy food, proper education, clothing, medical assistance, and more. 

To fulfill our ambitious mission, we have already established important partnerships with African orphanages and the missionaries at the United Methodist church. We also remotely educate and empower youth and single moms by providing them with pragmatic suggestions and direction on how to bring about sustainable changes in their lives. 

At its core, SWOG is focused on creating a world that is free from child poverty, homelessness, child abuse/neglect, and violations of children’s rights, but we cannot do this without the help of others! 

In the United States alone, there are more than 23 million children being raised by a single parent and, according to UNICEF, there are roughly 153 million orphans worldwide. 

This staggering number is daunting, but we are confident that the matrix of holistic support we envision will become the catalyst that leads to stronger, healthier children, families, communities, and – ultimately – nations.

Our goal is to serve orphans and vulnerable children in a sustainable and intensive manner to transform their lives. We believe that without addressing social, medical, and economic problems, these children would most likely be forced to drop out from school, fall back into the cycle of poverty and starve to death.
